Darth Rabbitt wrote:I watched Episode II in Spanish (subbed English), and it's amazing how much better the dialogue sounds in another language.
I particularly like the dialogue between Yoda and Count Chocula before and near the end of their sabre duel dubbed over in Spanish. That scene and the opening speeder chase/foiled assassination are the only ones in the movie worth watching anyway.

For Hayden Christenson, you should really watch Shattered Glass.

The mess that is Starwars 2/3 is all about the writing and the Director. Hayden is actually a fine actor, and with the right direction would have been fine with Anakin. The problem is that Anakin is written badly, paced badly, and directed badly. You could be the worlds greatest actor, and you still couldn't make a turd like Starwars 2 be anything but a turd.
I don't know, Christopher Lee did a pretty good job of it. You've just got to know when to totally ham it up and eat the entire green screen.

Sometimes, to make a movie good you must stop trying to make a good movie.

Method actors have a hard time with a lot of green screen and CGI. It's hard to draw on your similar personal experiences to create an emotional response when your circumstances are talking to a tennis ball or running away from an empty sound stage. Most American actors are Method.

Actors with a stage background have an easier time with a lot of green screen and CGI. They are used to having to suggest their environments and respond to unconvincing pantomime dragons. Most British actors have a stage background.

First episode of Original Voltron series:

We use space ships so we need space.

The Last Airbender:

The explanation of what the spirit world is, as if any of the characters or the audience were not aware that the spirit world is an alternate dimension filled with spirits. I mean, they don't even explain the rules of the spirit world, and since this does not result in Koh showing up later it's exceptionally wasted.

Peculiar properties of spacetime ensure that the perception of the magnitude of Soon is fluid and dependent, not on an individual's time-reference, but on spatial and cultural location. A marketer generally perceives Soon as a finite, known, yet unspeakable time-interval; to a fan, the interval appears greater, and may in fact approach the infinite, becoming Never. Once the interval has passed, however, a certain time-lensing effect seems to occur, and the time-interval becomes vanishingly small. We therefore see the strange result that the same fragment of spacetime may be observed, in quick succession, as Soon, Never, and All Too Quickly.

Stahlseele: I don't know naything about Saber Rider. But, really, I watched like the first episode of Voreltron and couldn't take it anymore. Some shows just don't age well.

Started watching Revenge (modernized Count of Monte Cristo adaptation).

It isn't awesome but it does have its moments.

In the first two episodes, we find a tech genius billionaire who is an extraordinary hacker. Our heroine knows this.

So in the third episode she asks this question.

"Is it possible to hack a tablet to show a powerpoint presentation?"

Well, Saber Rider hat Ramrod as the gigantic fighting robot.
Who had one of the most iconic lines in the history of animation . .
"Acknowledged April, navigational Control On! Ramrod Challenge Phase: One! Head 'em up, move 'em out. Powerstride and ready to ride!"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=71NDVOsF ... re=related

And yes, that Voice you are hearing?
Peter Cullen. Who also voiced our Lord and Saviour. The one true Paladin. Lawfull stupid, not Lawfull anal, Optimus Prime.

And in the very first Voltron Episode, one of the Space Explorers specially trained and sent by the alliance says:"Head 'em up, move 'em out. Powerstride and ready to ride!"

Also, as a Tech-Support-Guy . . i would have shot her on the spot for that question <.<

Given that Emily had already sent Nolan the target IP address, she knew he could do it. The question was the "polite" way of telling him to get it done.

That style of question-asking is something I grew up with, and I frequently phrase things similarly.
